Growing up in Cary, North Carolina, Cecilia Jensen trained at Cary Ballet Conservatory, where she specialized in classical ballet and pointe work. During her training, she performed numerous principal roles with Cary Ballet Company, including the Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker, Odette in Swan Lake, and Aurora in Sleeping Beauty.
After high school, Cecilia went on to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance from the University of South Florida, where she studied contemporary movement and choreography in addition to refining her ballet technique. During her time at USF, she performed in multiple original works, including those choreographed by Roderick George, Jennifer Archibald, and Andrew Carroll.
She also presented her own choreographic works on the USF stage. Following graduation, Cecilia joined Tampa City Ballet for their 2026-2027 season. In addition to performing, she teaches ballet, contemporary, and pointe at various dance studios in the Tampa Bay area.
