Christie began her training in classical ballet and pointe variations, contemporary, and jazz styles at the Russell School of Ballet in Chantilly, VA where she grew up performing with the Fairfax Ballet.
She received her Bachelor of Arts in Theater and Dance along with her Bachelor of Science in Geographic Science from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. While at JMU, she studied and fell in love with modern dance and expanded her experience and knowledge in contemporary, ballet, improvisation and composition.
She also performed as a member of JMU’s pre-professional company, Virginia Repertory Dance Company. Prior to moving to Tampa in 2022, Christie performed and traveled with Jacksonville-based modern dance company Emily Cargill & Dancers during their 2021-2022 season and taught classes at St. Augustine Dance Academy in St. Augustine, FL
